Here’s the first trailer for the post-Ash era Pokémon anime
Ash recently left the animated show after 25 years
The Pokémon Company has released the first trailer for the next era of its anime series, after protagonist Ash left the series after 25 years.
The new series stars Friede and his partner Pokémon, Captain Pikachu, as well as protagonists Liko and Roy, as they set off on “an exciting, action-packed journey”.
The trailer also offers a glimpse at additional characters and Pokémon fans can expect to see in the series, which features Scarlet and Violet’s Paldea region.
The Pokémon anime first debuted in 1997 in Japan and in 1998 in the US. As of 2022, Ash and Pikachu have appeared in almost 1,300 episodes.
While other protagonists have been featured in spin-offs, this marks the end of a continuous storyline that will be over 25 years old when it concludes.
It was suspected that Ash’s story would come to an end when he finally achieved his goal of becoming the Pokémon League Champion last year. This goal is also the end goal of all the Pokémon video games.
