Here’s the first look at Traveller’s Tales founder’s Funko Pop mash-up game
The action-adventure features characters from Jurassic World, Back to the Future and more
10:10 Games has released the first teaser trailer for its debut title, Funko Fusion.
The UK studio is led by CEO and creative director Jon Burton, who previously founded Lego developer Traveller’s Tales (now TT Games), and is home to a team of developers best known for their work on brick-based games.
It announced last year that it was collaborating with pop culture brand Funko on a triple-A action platformer originally planned for release in 2023.
And on Tuesday, the companies revealed Funko Fusion, a mash-up game starring characters from popular IPs like Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Umbrella Academy, The Thing, Child’s Play and Masters of the Universe.
Funko Fusion will feature online multiplayer allowing up to four players to team up and battle enemies, “explore vast environments, and solve intriguing puzzles”.
The debut trailer for the game, which is now targeting a 2024 release for PC and consoles, is viewable above.
“It’s incredibly exciting to be able to show everyone what the team here at 10:10 Games has been up to,” said 10:10 Games’ design director and co-founder Arthur Parsons, who was formerly head of design at TT Games.
“Harnessing the incredible properties we’ve been entrusted with by our partners at Universal Games and Digital Platforms, bringing them together into a gaming experience that is incredibly fun, surprising, authentic, and celebrates fandom like never before, all experienced through a Funko lens.”
