Here’s the first look at Rambo and John McClane in Warzone
80s action heroes are set to arrive in Call of Duty later this month to coincide with Verdansk 84
The first image of Call of Duty Warzone’s 80s action skins has appeared online, showing how Rambo and John McClane will look in Activision’s shooter.
Activision confirmed on Thursday that the skins are set to arrive on May 20 to tie in with Warzone’s new 1984 Verdansk map, which went live last month.
The Call of Duty firm started hinting at the movie collaborations earlier this month with cryptic tweets and a website for the fictional company “Nakatomi Duct Cleaning”. Nakatomi is the corporation featured in the Die Hard movies.
VGC understands there’s more to come, and when we spoke to developer Raven Software last month it hinted as much.
“I’d like to point out that in the slides we showed you [earlier], there was a little ‘classified’ section for ‘80s Action’… there is some cool stuff we’ve got planned for the 80s, so feel free to speculate on that,” creative director Amos Hodge said in our Call of Duty Warzone interview.

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 launched with three new weapons (PPSh-41 SMG, Swiss K31 sniper rifle, Ballistic Knife). The AMP63 machine pistol and Baseball Bat melee weapon will be added mid-season too.
Activision Blizzard confirmed this month that Sledgehammer Games is leading development of 2021’s premium Call of Duty game, which chief operating officer Daniel Alegre said “is looking great and on track for its fall release”.
He added: “This is a built for next generation experience with stunning visuals across campaign, multiplayer and co-operative modes of play, designed to both integrate with and enhance the existing COD ecosystem.”
Activision president Rob Kostich also said the game will include some “really fun integration” with Warzone.
