GTA, Sonic, and Battlefield games are all leaving PlayStation Plus on PS5 this month

Nine games are leaving PlayStation Plus on PS5 soon, including titles from the GTA, Sonic, and Battlefield series.

Sony has announced that several games will be removed from its PlayStation Plus Game Catalog soon. Included in this list is Battlefield 2042, which is likely leaving due to the recent release of Battlefield 6, in order to direct more players towards the new entry.

Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition is also leaving the service, though Grand Theft Auto 5 remains on PlayStation Plus. Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition is included in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which is part of Rockstar‘s GTA+ membership.

  • Arcade Paradise VR (PlayStation 5)
  • Sonic Frontiers (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5)
  • Forspoken (PlayStation 5)
  • Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition (PlayStation 5)
  • Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (PlayStation 4/ PlayStation 5)
  • Surviving Mars (PlayStation 4)
  • Star Trek Bridge Crew (PlayStation 4)

November’s PlayStation Plus monthly games include Stray for PS4 and PS5, EA Sports WRC 24 for PlayStation 5, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator for PS4 and PS5.

Stray was the second-highest rated game on Steam in 2022 and went on to win Best Debut at the Game Developers’ Choice Awards, and Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards.

Sony recently announced plans to shift away from providing PS4 games as part of its monthly PlayStation Plus offerings.

Starting in January 2026, “PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit” of the service, with the platform holder instead turning its focus to offering PS5 titles.
