Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in Fall 2025

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in fall 2025.

The new release window was confirmed by Take-Two as part of its financial report for the fiscal year 2024.

Listing some of the games planned for the next three fiscal years, the company said GTA 6 will be “launching Fall of calendar 2025”.

It also confirmed the development of NBA 2K25 and WWE 2K25.

Discussing its projected revenue for the fiscal year 2025, Take-Two noted that GTA 6 won’t be releasing during that period.

“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games‘ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto 6,” it said. “Consumer anticipation for the title is unprecedented and our expectations for its commercial input continue to increase.

The first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer was released in December, confirming a planned 2025 release date.

It racked up more than 100 million views in just two days, surpassing the lifetime views of GTA 5‘s debut trailer and making it one of the most-viewed trailers in YouTube history.

It currently sits at 190 million views, easily surpassing the 110 million views of the Star Wars account’s upload of the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was the first new Star Wars film in a decade at the time.

The trailer also confirmed that the game will partly take place in Vice City – a fictional Miami – and star a pair of protagonists, one of whom – for the first time since the series switched to polygonal 3D – is a woman.

A report published in March claimed that although the internal goal at Rockstar was to release in “early 2025”, a slip to 2026 was possible. It now appears this will not be the case, at least for now.
