Forza Horizon 5 PC specs, graphics options and peripherals confirmed
Microsoft’s racer hits consoles and PC in November
Playground Games has revealed the minimum, recommended and “ideal” PC specifications for Forza Horizon 5.
The studio has also confirmed various graphics options that will be available as well as supported peripherals.
In a blog post, Playground said it had updated its minimum specs from the previous estimate provided on the Microsoft Store and Steam.
It wrote: “Forza Horizon 5 is built from the ground up on PC to deliver the open road in extraordinary detail at limitless speeds. What’s more, the game is fitted with a vast array of graphics settings to tweak and adjust the experience as you see fit.
“Unlock the framerate, crank up the visuals to 4K, enable HDR for more luminous lighting or expand the field-of-view.”
The game supports 21:9 ultrawide displays and numerous steering wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec. Haptic feedback on the Xbox controller is supported by all versions of the title too, including Steam for the first time.
Supported peripherals:
- Logitech: Driving Force, G25, G27, G29, G920, G923PS, G923XB, Momo
- Thrustmaster: Ferrari 458, T150 RS, T300 RS, T500 RS, TMX, T-GT, TS-XW, TX, TS-PC
- Fanatec: V1, V2, V2.5, CSL, CSL DD, DD1, DD2, Universal HUB device
Playground Games recently confirmed more than 400 of the cars that will be available in Forza Horizon 5 on day one. Every car in the game will be viewable in the Forzavista mode, where players can study them in extreme levels of detail with ray-tracing enabled.
Last month, Playground also revealed Forza Horizon 5’s full world map, which “is 50 percent bigger, so one and a half times the size of Forza Horizon 4’s”, according to creative director Mike Brown.
Forza Horizon 5 will be released on November 9, 2021 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
