Forspoken’s PS5 demo has been updated, PC features and requirements detailed
Square Enix’s game will be released on January 24
Square Enix has updated Forspoken’s PlayStation 5 demo and revealed fresh details about the PC version of the game ahead of next week’s release.
During a livestream on Tuesday, Forspoken creative producer Raio Mitsuno said the company was rolling out an improved version of the game’s PS5 demo, which was released in early December.
“Today we will be releasing an update to the Forspoken demo,” he said. “We’ve been listening to your reactions and feedback on the demo and we wanted to do whatever we could during this time to make the demo as enjoyable of an experience as possible.”
The updated demo adds button mapping functionality, makes locked-on enemies that move off-screen remain locked-on for longer, adjusts certain text sizes and fixes “various technical issues”.
Square Enix has also revealed the game’s minimum, recommended and ultra PC system requirements, which it published in the tweet embedded below.
These were announced alongside the release of a new PC features trailer, which is viewable above.

Announced in June 2020, Forspoken is the debut title from Square Enix’s Luminous Productions.
Last July the publisher delayed the game for a second time. Having originally been scheduled to arrive in May 2022, the Forspoken release date was pushed back by a further three and a half months, from October to January 24, 2023.
Square Enix has said it’s aiming to deliver “the highest quality visuals ever seen in an open world game” with Forspoken, which will be a PlayStation console exclusive for at least two years.
