First Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom review published in Famitsu
The Japanese magazine praises the new game’s gameplay freedom
The first Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom review has been published in Japanese magazine Famitsu.
As reported by Ryokutya2089, the publication’s four reviewers gave the Switch title scores of 10, 9, 9, and 8, for a combined overall review score of 36/40.
The reviewers reportedly praised the high degree of freedom the new Zelda gives players for completing puzzles, and how it feels like a traditional Zelda title, and not a spin-off.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on September 26, alongside a new Zelda edition Nintendo Switch Lite console.
“While exploring the Still World Zelda will find a mysterious sword allowing her to transform into a powerful Swordfighter form for a short time and battle enemies head-on,” Nintendo‘s description of the game reads.
“With its mighty power, she can forge ahead when her path is blocked, strike down enemies on her own, and battle alongside echoes. The sword’s gauge can be replenished by collecting energy found in the Still World.”
