Fantasian Neo Dimension, a console port of the Apple Arcade game written and produced by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, has been announced for Nintendo Switch.
The game, which will be published by Square Enix, was announced during Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
Fantasian Neo Dimension will be released later this year, according to its announcement trailer, which is viewable below.
Update
Square Enix has confirmed plans to release the game this winter for Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Steam.
Part 1 of Fantasian was released on Apple Arcade in April 2021, with Part 2 arriving four months later.
The most recent game from Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and The Last Story studio Mistwalker, Fantasian features a world made up of over 150 handmade dioramas that blend physical environments and 3D characters.
It also features a soundtrack by veteran games industry and Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Players take on the role of protagonist Leo, who wakes up following an explosion to find himself lost in a strange realm ruled by machines and with only a single memory.
“Within this multi-dimensional universe, the balance of ‘Chaos and Order’ becomes a key factor in the struggle for these realms and the machinations of the gods who wish to control them,” reads an official description.
“As players set out on a journey to reclaim Leo’s memories, they will unravel the mysteries of the bizarre mechanical infection slowly engulfing all that is known to mankind.”
