Fans asking for more Kingdom Hearts 4 information will have to wait after ‘a bit of a gap’
Something is planned for the Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary, but fans will have to wait for a new trailer

The next Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer will be released after “a bit of a gap.”
That’s according to KH4 game directors Tetsuya Nomura and Tai Yasue. The duo spoke with Famitsu about Kingdom Hearts 4, but the next trailer might be some time away.
“The release is still scheduled for late next year, and the development team is in the final stages, so we’ll be focusing on that for a while,” Nomura told Famitsu (via machine translation). “We’re currently considering when to release the next information, so there will likely be a bit of a gap.”
“As for information on Kingdom Hearts IV, we’ve started to release some serious information this time, but we’ll be releasing more information gradually, so please look forward to further updates,” he continued.
New information set for the Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary
Before signing off, he teases plans for the series’ 25th anniversary without promising a new trailer. “Also, there will be something planned for next year’s 25th anniversary, so please look forward to the announcement.”
An anniversary exhibition is confirmed to be taking place in Roppongi starting February 5, 2027, so this may be when more KH4 information is revealed.
Kingdom Hearts 4 English voiceover recording is 60-70% complete
Kingdom Hearts 4 is set for release in late 2027, and Nomura confirms that the Japanese language voiceover has been entirely recorded. Yasue shares that the English voiceovers are approximately 60-70% complete.
Nomura previously stated that Kingdom Hearts 4 will not be delayed past 2027, saying, “That is not happening.”
Earlier in August, a Kingdom Hearts anime series was announced during Disney’s D23 presentation.
