Fall Guys Season 5 will add 6 jungle-themed rounds when it arrives on Tuesday
Mediatonic reveals new content with a pair of trailers
Fall Guys Season 5 will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on July 20, Mediatonic has announced.
The jungle-themed season will feature six new rounds and 50 tiers of unlockable content, such as fresh costumes and patterns.
Headlining Tuesday’s update is Lost Temple, which is billed as the game’s “most ambitious round to date”.
It requires players to “navigate the shapeshifting Lost Temple where the elusive path to the crown is ever-changing”.
Fall Guys Season 4 launched in March, adding seven new futuristic stages, among other features.
Epic Games also revealed in March that it had acquired Tonic Games Group, the parent company of Mediatonic, for an undisclosed sum.
The following month, Mediatonic delayed the release of Fall Guys for Switch and Xbox in order to give the studio time to implement new features like cross-play.
“With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we’ve realised that our previously announced Summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we’re working on,” it said.
“While we want to launch on these platforms as quickly as possible, we believe the Switch and Xbox releases are really going to be worth waiting for and we’re super grateful for your patience.”
Season 4’s mid-season update arrived in May, adding two new rounds and cross-play support for PS4 and PC players.
