F-Zero 99 adds festival event, emotes and ‘Star Rivals’

The latest patch also includes gameplay adjustments

News In Brief

Nintendo has released the latest update for F-Zero 99, which adds new content to the free-to-play Switch racer.

As part of the 1.4.0 update, Switch Online members can now play a new festival event (complete with festival-themed versions of courses), participate in an event leaderboard, computer-controlled racers called “Star Rivals,” gameplay adjustments, and more.

Additionally, emotes have been added to the game. “Try holding the L or R Button and then pressing the A, B, X, or Y Buttons at the start of a race (or while spectating),” Nintendo said.
