Excitebike 64 is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack
The N64 game will join the subscription service next week
Excitebike 64 is the next N64 game set to be added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.
Originally released in North America and Japan in 2000 before coming to Europe the following year, the motocross game was developed by Left Field Productions and published by Nintendo.
It’s the second entry in the series, serving as a sequel to Excitebike on the NES, and the first 3D one.
Excitebike 64 will join the Switch Online Expansion pack beginning on August 30.
The game’s eShop description reads: “Grind your way through the extreme sport of motocross, and attempt over a dozen outrageous tricks, such as heel clickers, cliffhangers, and bar hops!
“Select from six different riders – each with their own unique style – and race across 20 stadium tracks and outdoor courses. You can also create your very own courses or race with up to four players.”
N64 games require the Switch Online Expansion Pack add-on, which is also needed to play Game Boy Advance and Sega games and costs $49.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 per year.
It also provides access to downloadable expansions for select Nintendo Switch games including the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass, Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion.
