Nintendo’s Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake has been rated by the USA’s ESRB.
The game, which currently only has a ‘2024’ release window, has been given an E for Everyone rating by the software board, suggesting it could release sometime in the near future.
The Thousand-Year Door remake was previously rated in Brazil and Korea late last year, so the ESRB rating adds further credence to the idea it could be released earlier in 2024 than expected.
The game won Console Role Playing Game of the Year at the 8th Interactive Achievement Awards (now known as the DICE Awards).
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is likely one of the final large releases on Nintendo’s console before the Japanese publisher reveals plans for its next machine.
Nintendo is yet to publicly discuss its next-gen console plans, but a 2023 VGC report indicated that the company is planning to launch new hardware this year.
