Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date appears online
EA says games already in development, like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, aren't affected by the strike.

The release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard has appeared online ahead of Thursday’s planned announcement.

Update

EA and BioWare have now officially confirmed that the game’s release date is indeed October 31. It also published a new trailer, which we’ve added to the article below.

A short trailer, which would have likely featured as a YouTube pre-roll ad due to its length, has appeared online ahead of Bioware’s announcement stream which was planned for Thursday.

The trailer, which appears to be a compilation of some of the game’s debut gameplay footage from earlier this year, also confirms that the game will have a PEGI 18 rating.

Veilguard will be released on October 31 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Earlier this summer, Bioware revealed the game’s voice cast.

In a hands-on preview back in June, VGC said Veilguard could be BioWare back at its best.

“There was some understandable sour faces following Dragon Age’s showing at the Xbox Game Showcase, but we’re very happy to say that they are unfounded,” we wrote.

“Our demo was exciting, and engaging and made us desperate to see the next 50 to 100 hours of game. No Guardians of the Galaxy dialogue, no weird versions of pop classics, just a hulking Bioware RPG, something that’s been sadly missing in gaming for too long.”
