Crunchyroll reveals first footage of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice anime

The first footage of the anime adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been shown.

Announced during Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2025, the show, titled Sekiro: No Defeat, will be produced by Kadokawa, Qzil.la, and ARCH. Also unveiled was a brand new trailer, teasing the lore and art style of the show. The show will debut on Crunchyroll next year.

“We are taking on the monumental task of animating the breathtakingly beautiful Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” said Kenichi Kutsuna, director of the adaptation. “In doing so, we are pouring every ounce of our artistic vision and passion for beauty into its production.”
