CD Projekt Red reveals extended gameplay of The Witcher 3 Remastered and Songs of the Past DLC

CD Projekt Red has revealed more than a dozen minutes of gameplay footage featuring The Witcher 3 Remastered and the Songs of the Past DLC.

CD Projekt Red has been broadcasting its REDstreams segment during Gamescom 2026, and during the presentation, the team has been showcasing new gameplay from the newly announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and the new Songs of the Past DLC.

Almost 20 minutes of total footage has been released so far, and diligent YouTubers have been collating the new gameplay clips.

The footage comes with the warning “Work in progress – Does not represent the final look of the game,” but it should still give players a good idea of what to expect from the visual style of the new remaster and the new DLC environments.

The footage released so far includes a horseback ride around the new DLC area of Letten, home to fan-favorite character Dandelion. We also see some cutscenes and combat during the new A Bed of Thorns quest, which will introduce players to the DLC.

More footage is set to be released during CD Projekt Red’s Gamescom 2026 streams. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be available as a free upgrade on September 29.

Nintendo Switch 2 players with physical copies of TW3 can still upgrade to the remaster for free.

Geralt of Rivia is also appearing as a skin in Diablo 4.
