Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Captain Price to recieve new haircut after the internet mocks his beta look

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Captain Price is to receive a new haircut after players discovered some visual issues with the game on its lowest setting, causing viral images of the character model to spread online.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is currently in beta, and with it, the largest number of players so far have been able to test out the game before its planned launch later this year.

As part of this beta, an image of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Captain Price, a long-time fan favourite character, went viral on social media due to the strange appearance of the character model’s hair.

In images posted across social media, Price’s hair appears not to render correctly, leaving a few wisps of hair above a flat texture.

“That ain’t Captain Price; that’s Lieutenant Cost,” wrote X user @naranciagaming.

Call of Duty’s social media account responded to the issue, gently pointing out that the visual bug should only happen if a player isn’t hitting the recommended specs.

“Hello! We’re aware of an issue with Price’s hair not appearing correctly when viewed at the lowest level of detail. The team will be addressing it in a future update.

“Ultimately, this will not be an issue if players meet our recommended specs.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches globally on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 on Friday, October 23.

This marks the first time the series has been on a Nintendo platform in over a decade.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will also be the first Call of Duty title not to launch on Game Pass day one since Activision was acquired by Microsoft.
