Bethesda details Rage 2 DLC roadmap

Bethesda has detailed plans for Rage 2’s post-launch support, including free and paid DLC coming to the open-world shooter.

The publisher posted an image of Rage 2’s DLC roadmap on Twitter, which notes that all world events, select weapon skins, cheat codes, wasteland challenges and a new vehicle will be released free of charge in the coming months.

The previously announced Rise of the Ghosts Expansion, which is included with the collector’s edition of the game, will launch as paid DLC in August. It will add a new story, enemy faction, weapons, abilities, vehicles and areas to explore.

A second paid expansion, featuring a similar range of content as Rise of the Ghosts minus the new faction, will arrive in the autumn.

Set for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this Tuesday May 14, the post-apocalyptic open-world shooter has been co-developed by id Software and Avalanche Studios.

According to the official story blurb: “An asteroid has annihilated 80% of the earth’s population, and humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule with an iron fist.

“As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland and a threat to their power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead. Now you’ll have to rage for justice and freedom.”
