Atlus confirms that Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica are also coming to other formats
Switch owners will miss out on the Persona 3 remake, though
Atlus has confirmed that Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica Coming will also come to other formats, following the announcement of both games during Microsoft‘s Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.
Persona 5 Tactica will be released on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows, Steam, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on November 11, 2023.
This will be followed by Persona 3 Reload, which will come to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows, Steam, PS5 and PS4 in early 2024.
This appears to suggest that Switch owners will miss out on getting the Persona 3 remake on their system.
“Play the game like never before with a revamped battle system, cutting-edge graphics and gameplay, and enhanced audio,” Atlus’s description of Persona 3 Reload reads.
As well as enhanced visuals, the game’s English cast has also seemingly been entirely replaced. Veteran voice actors including Allegra Clark (Bloodhound in Apex Legends), Alejandro Saab (Genshin Impact) and Dawn Bennet (Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Fortnite) are among the new cast members.
Remakes of both games were officially confirmed on Sunday, days after a trailer was accidentally leaked by Atlus. Footage had also previously emerged in April of what appeared to be remakes of Persona 3 and Jet Set Radio.
Persona 5 Tactica is a tactical spin-off of Persona 5. “Overthrow your enemies with powerful Personas, and an assortment of weapons, and wipe them out with style in this fresh new tactical RPG from the award-winning Persona 5 game,” Atlus’s official description reads.
During the Xbox Game Showcase Atlus also showed off a trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio, a new RPG from the team behind Persona 3, 4 and 5. The game will be developed by longtime Persona leader Katsura Hashino.
