Astro Bot's UK sales (physical-only so far) aren't huge. Opening week is about a third lower than 2021's Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, but I expect a longer sales tail for Astro. It's certainly sold more copies in the UK in just 2 days than Concord sold worldwide

Astro Bot reportedly sold more physical copies in the UK in two days than Concord did worldwide
Sony’s live service shooter Concord was taken offline after two weeks of sale
Astro Bot sold more physical copies in two days in the UK than Concord sold worldwide, it’s claimed.
That’s according to GamesIndustry.biz Christopher Dring, who compared the performance of Sony‘s most recent first-party releases in a post on X.
“Astro Bot‘s UK sales (physical-only so far) aren’t huge,” he wrote. “Opening week is about a third lower than 2021’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, but I expect a longer sales tail for Astro. It’s certainly sold more copies in the UK in just 2 days than Concord sold worldwide.”
It’s worth noting that digital sales account for the majority of Sony’s overall games sales.
Astro Bot was released on September 6 to huge critical acclaim. On the same day as Astro Bot’s launch, and just two weeks after its own release, Sony took Concord offline.
The move to pull Concord from sale followed reports that the PS5 and PC game may have sold as few as 25,000 copies across both platforms following its release on August 23.
“While we determine the best path ahead, Concord sales will cease immediately and we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased the game for PS5 or PC,” said Ryan Ellis, game director at Sony’s Firewalk Studios.
Washington-based Firewalk was founded in 2018 and was acquired by Sony last year. Concord, its debut game, was reportedly in development for around eight years.
The title received “mixed or average” reviews from critics, according to review aggregation website Metacritic, where it has scores of 62 (PS5) and (65 PC). At the time of publication, Concord has just 34 players in-game on Steam, according to SteamDB.
VGC’s Concord review called it “a good shooter divorced from the reality of its genre.”
