A Velocity Green Xbox Series X/S controller has seemingly leaked
The green wireless controller will reportedly release next week
Another new Xbox Series X/S controller has seemingly been leaked ahead of its official announcement.
Reliable leaker billbil-kun shared a blurred image of the Velocity Green controller on Twitter.
According to billbil-kun, the controller will be released on February 28 at a price of €59.99, meaning an Xbox announcement is likely imminent.
This reveal comes just two weeks after Microsoft launched its latest Xbox controller design, Stellar Shift, which itself was leaked by billbil-kun before its announcement.
The image shared on Twitter has been deliberately blurred so as not to reveal the full details.
However, Velocity Green is one of the controller colours available on the Xbox Design Lab site, which lets players customise their own controllers.
As such, we were able to create what may be a relatively accurate mock-up using the Design Lab process.
The Stellar Shift Xbox Series X/S controller was revealed on February 7, and launched the same day.
The controller features a colour-shifting, blue-purple shimmer and rubberised purple swirl grip. There are textured grips on the triggers, bumpers, and back case too.
Priced at $69.99 / £59.99, the Stellar Shift controller also comes with a unique dynamic dashboard background that is only unlocked once it’s connected to an Xbox Series X/S console.
The Xbox Design Lab site was launched in 2016 to let players create their own customised Xbox One controllers.
After the service was stopped in October 2020, it returned in June 2021 with an update that added Xbox Series X/S controllers.
This was then expanded upon in October 2022, where Microsoft added the ability to customise Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers.
