The release date for A Plague Tale: Requiem will be revealed later this month, it’s been announced.
The upcoming sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence received a new trailer during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase on Sunday.
However, the trailer simply ended with the year ‘2022’, with no further specific release information.
Now publisher Focus Entertainment has confirmed that it will be announcing the game’s release date during its own presentation later this month.
The publisher will hosting a ‘Focus Showcase’ on June 23, which appears to be solely based on Requiem.
“Tune in on June 23 to watch A Plague Tale: Requiem’s release date reveal and an exclusive extended gameplay trailer,” the upcoming presentation’s description reads.
Microsoft has also confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, on console, PC and cloud.
“After the original game’s epic finale to a heartbreaking story of resilience, players will embark on the emotional journey’s second chapter,” Asobo Studio’s head of communications Aurélie Belzanne previously said of Requiem.
“They will follow Amicia and her brother Hugo on a perilous new quest, doing whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world.
“A Plague Tale: Requiem is the direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence. Previously, players lived the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending adventure through the darkest hours of history.
“Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo came to know and trust each other, as they struggled to survive against overwhelming odds and fight to find their place in the world.”
