505 Games and Epic Games have launched a teaser site for a new project set to be revealed at next week’s The Game Awards.
The upcoming announcement is also being promoted by actor Michael Madsen in a video which can be viewed below.
It sees his character returning Game Awards host Geoff Keighley’s lost wallet to a disinterested receptionist, who opens it to reveal a QR code which leads to visitrockaycity.com.
The website shows a harbour set against the backdrop of a cityscape at night. Sirens can be heard in the background and what appears to be a police helicopter can be seen flying between skyscrapers while scanning the streets.
“Sign up for exclusive updates and our forthcoming reveal at The Game Awards,” reads a message on the site.
Featuring world premieres, musical performances and special guests, The Game Awards will be streamed live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 8.
Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida will give a live presentation at the event, where a release date for the game could finally be revealed.
Other games which could appear at the show include Tekken 8 and Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League.
God of War Ragnarök is nominated for 10 prizes at The Game Awards, ahead of Elden Ring and Horizon: Forbidden West, both of which are up for seven.
