To set up this glitch, you’re going to have to pick what weapon you want to duplicate, and you’re also going to have to find an undiscovered item, if you’re not sure that is, it’s an item that is listed as ??? when you approach it. Also make sure that you’re completely unarmed outside of the weapon you want to duplicate.

This has to be a shield or a weapon for the glitch to work, as far as we can tell, it doesn’t work with bows, although you can use it to get additional bows using the duplication glitch.

First, drop the weapon you want to duplicate. Then, when you’re ready, press A on the ??? item and AS SOON AS THE INFO SHOWS UP, press start button and make sure you’re on your inventory screen. Then, you have to decide which item to get rid of.

Equip it, then leave the inventory screen, then go straight back into it, and select “Drop” on the item you want to get rid of. Then leave the inventory screen, and dismiss the text.

Doing this will mean that it’s now a copy of the first item you dropped.

It’s that easy, and that’s how you pull off the duplication glitch in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
