• Item required: To evolve Kadabra into Alakazam in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you just have to trade the Pokémon. You do not need to use an item.

Haunter Trade Code

• Trade Code: 0066-0066
• Item required: To evolve Haunter into Gengar in Pokémon Legends Z-A, just trade the Pokémon without an item.

Spritzee Trade Code and item

• Trade Code: 0096 – 0096
• Item required: To evolve Spirtzee into Aromatisse in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you need to use a Sachet, which can be obtained from Side Mission 10, or as a reward from Infinite Z-A Royale. Give the Sachet to the Spritzee to hold when trading.

Swirlix Trade Code and item

• Trade Code: 0098 – 0098
• Item required: To evolve Swirlix into Slurpuff in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you need to use a Whipped Dream, which can be obtained from Side Mission 14, which is in front of Cafe Shutterbug. Give the Whipped Dream to the Swirlix to hold when trading.

Machoke Trade Code

• Trade Code: 0126 – 0126
• Item required: To evolve Machoke into Machamp in Pokémon Legends Z-A, trade the Pokémon as usual.

Slowbro Trade Code and item

• Trade Code: 0139 – 0139
• Item required: To evolve Slowpoke into Slowking in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you need to use a King’s Rock, which is rewarded in Side Mission 84, or purchasable from Racine Construction after the main story. Give the King’s Rock to the Slowpoke to hold when trading.

Scyther Trade Code and item

• Trade Code: 0176 – 0176
• Item required: To evolve Scyther into Scizor in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you need to use a Metal Coat, which is rewarded from Side Missions 101 and 114, and purchasable from Racine Construction in the post-game. Give the Metal Coat to the Scyther to hold when trading.

Phantump Trade Code

• Trade Code: 0182 – 0182
• Item required: To evolve Phantump into Trevenant in Pokémon Legends Z-A, go ahead and trade the Pokémon.

Onix Trade Code and item

• Trade Code: 0197 – 0197
• Item required: To evolve Onix into Steelix in Pokémon Legends Z-A, you need to use a Metal Coat, which is rewarded from Side Missions 101 and 114, and purchasable from Racine Construction in the post-game. Give the item to the Onix to hold.

Pumpkaboo Trade Code

• Trade Code: 0204 – 0204
• Item required: To evolve Pumpkaboo into Gourgeist in Pokémon Legends Z-A, simply trade the Pokémon.

How to use Pokémon Legends Z-A Trade Codes

In order to use Trade Codes in Pokémon Legends Z-A you’ll need to access the Link Trade by following these instructions:

1. You’ll first need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. It is currently not possible to complete a trade without a subscription, but if you can do it all in one day, it’s possible to get all trade evolutions during a free trial, if you’re not a member.
2. Open the main menu by pressing X.
3. Then head to Link Play, then open Link Trade. Once you’re here, select “Faraway Players”.
4. Here you can enter your Trade Code.
5. Wait for a trade partner to connect, then simply trade the Pokémon and it should evolve.
6. If the Pokémon you’re trading requires an item, make sure both players’ Pokémon are holding it.

The way this works is that other players will enter the same code and look to trade the same Pokémon, meaning you’ll both end up with the trade evolution you desire. You’ll be able to check that the traded Pokémon has the evolution item before it is sent.
