Onimusha WOTS: All Hidden Treasure locations
All Chance Encounter Hidden Treasure locations in Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is Capcom’s latest hard-as-nails action game, and the toughest side quest involves the Hidden Treasures.
There are five total Chance Encounters that lead to Hidden Treasure. Each quest begins with an NPC giving you an Old Drawing (though it looks more like a photograph), and this picture highlights the location of the Hidden Treasure. You will be given an approximate marker on your map to help narrow it down, but the marker isn’t precise; it just highlights the general location.
In this guide, we’re breaking down where to find every Hidden Treasure to complete the five Hidden Treasure Chance Encounters in Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
Hidden Treasure No. 1 location – Onimusha WOTS

The first Hidden Treasure quest takes place near the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror.

The picture isn’t incredibly clear, but the X mark is actually on top of a nearby rooftop.

In the nearby alley, you’ll find a long ladder to get on top of a roof, and a second, smaller ladder to ascend once again. On the top of the second roof, you can use the Oni Eyes to uncover the first Hidden Treasure.
Hidden Treasure No. 2 location – Onimusha WOTS

The second Hidden Treasure isn’t too far from the tall Yasaka Pagoda and its Spirit Mirror.

This is another unclear picture, but you should be able to make out the pagoda, a ladder, and a waterfall. These are all the hints you need to uncover this one.

If you zoom in close enough on the map, ladders actually become visible; that’s the easiest way to find this Hidden Treasure. Alternatively, you can check the map and follow the nearby stream until it turns into a waterfall. Use the Oni Eyes at the bottom of the small waterfall to find this Hidden Treasure.

Hidden Treasure No. 3 location – Onimusha WOTS
The third Hidden Treasure photograph shows an X mark on a gate near a tall wall. There are only a few places like this in Eastern Kyoto, but you might not realise you need to search from the inside of the wall.

The map marker will lead you near the Kamo River – East Spirit Mirror, and the large temple nearby infested with Genma is the location we’re looking for.

From the main door – just to the East of the Spirit Mirror – walk inside and immediately head right. Look for the large closed door, and when you approach it, use the Oni Eyes to reveal the third Hidden Treasure.

Hidden Treasure No. 4 location – Onimusha WOTS

The fourth Hidden Treasure is frustratingly hidden past the Gojo Street – East Spirit Mirror, in an area which is almost always infested with Genma.

In this area, there is a single small shrine-like building in the Northeast. You’ll need to take the long, Southern route around the area to get there.

Once you arrive, instead of going inside, move around to the left side of the building, where a small balcony overlooks the rest of Eastern Kyoto. You’ll be able to use the Oni Eyes here to uncover the fourth Hidden Treasure.

Hidden Treasure No. 5 location – Onimusha WOTS

You should be familiar with Eastern Kyoto by now, and the fifth Hidden Treasure is the easiest to find.

You must head to Yasaka Pagoda and climb it. The inside of the pagoda has a series of ladders you can continually climb to emerge on the upper rooftop of the pagoda.

You’ll find a few pesky Genma at the top, but once they’ve been dealt with, you’ll be able to find the Hidden Treasure with the Oni Eyes on the upper level of the pagoda, on its Southern side.
