How to unlock Gear 5 in One Fruit Simulator
Grab a friend (or a Roblox gift card)… you’re going to need it
Knowing how to unlock Gear 5 in One Fruit Simulator is one of the worst-kept secrets in the game.
Unless you’re willing to dive deep into the game’s Discord server, there’s a good chance you won’t have a clue how to get it. Gear 5, added on August 11 update, came with the introduction of Oni Island and the traveling Floating Oni Island, accompanying raids, and some necessary buffs.
How to unlock Gear 5 in One Fruit Simulator
First up, to get the Gear 5 upgrade in One Fruit Simulator, you’re obviously going to need to have reached Gear 4. You’re also going to need the Rubber Awakened fruit and Serpent Man Awakened state. Here’s a quick primer on how to manage that.
Awakening Rubber Fruit (bounce man)
With Rubber Fruit, get the Rubber Key from Ruffy and complete the Ruffy raid in the Rose Kingdom. Repeat this process until you amass the 116 Rubber Essense used to unlock all the moves.
Once you’re set, speak to the Fruit Awaken NPC on the roof of Bounty Island in Second Sea to awaken the Rubber Fruit.
Awakening Serpent Man Gear 4 form
With an Awakened Rubber Fruit, it’s time to get the Serpent Man Gear 4 form.
Head to Cake Island in Third Sea and speak to the Man Serpent quest NPC under the giant teapot to start the Serpent Man quest chain. Here’s what he’ll ask you to do:
- Kill 10 General Pretzels
- Kill 10 General Shakes
- Kill 5 Large Mothers
- Kill 800 total enemies with an Awakened Rubber Fruit.
- Players recommend running the Race Awakening and Colosseum raids for this one.
- Obtain 200 Serpent Essense.
- Repeat the Serpent Raid by giving Serpent Keys obtained from Officer Long Nose to the Raid Joiner at Abazon Lily in Third Sea.
- Give him 10,000,000,000 Beris.
Unlocking Gear 5
With that all sorted, head to the new Oni Island. Fight enemies here to get Special Water drops. Give these to Radio 15 until the eyes of the Oni Island skull turn a deeper red, spawning Rooftop Ruffy on a floating version of Oni Island that can spawn anywhere in Third Sea.
Defeat Rooftop Ruffy repeatedly to earn Essense. When you have enough, equip your Time Skip Rubber fruit to spawn the new Gear 5 Awakening NPC inside the bridge in Flower Country.
With shoddy drop rates and excess items needed, grinding for Gear 5 will take time. It’s possible to spend Robux to skip the whole process by speaking to the same NPC in Flower Country, but you’ll still need the Rubber Fruit mentioned to spawn them.
Is Gear 5 stronger than True Kokuto or Dragon Awakened?
From a design perspective, Gear 5 is better than True Kokuto and Dragon Awakened, yes. Of course, actual damage varies wildly with each player, so it’s not a clear-cut comparison.
A few days after the release of Gear 5, however, the new form was buffed in numerous ways, which should see it rise above older additional more easily. Whether or not it’s worth the grind if you’re happy with one of the other top-tier options is up to you.
If you’re strapped for in-game cash or need some other kind of boost, the latest One Fruit Simulator codes could be just the ticket.
