Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe has 13 Energy Spheres in its first level, Cookie Country.
The level is split into four separate stages, with each containing either three or four Energy Spheres.
While some of these are easy enough to find this early in the game, there are still some that could cause problems.
This guide will show you how to find every Energy Sphere in Level 1, Cookie Country.
If you’re stuck on a different level, head to our Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe Energy Spheres location guide hub.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe – Level 1-1 Energy Spheres
When you go underground and make your way through a locked door, the first Energy Sphere is right in front of you.
This is the easiest Sphere in the game – you can’t miss it.
Spheres 2 and 3
After gaining the Ultra Sword, make your way to the end of the stage. Right before the Exit Gate, there’s a big hill with cracks in it (as seen in the screenshot).
Use the Ultra Sword on the hill to break it, and make a star-shaped portal appear. After completing the void-chase section here, you’ll have a boss fight with a Sphere Doomer. Beat it to get the other two Spheres.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe – Level 1-2 Energy Spheres
When you get the little gun that fires cannonballs into the air, keep moving right until you see the first Sphere in the air, protected by three blocks.
Use the cannon to blow up the blocks, then float up to get the Sphere.
Once you reach the top of the section where you climb up all the ladders, don’t enter the door right away.
Instead, walk to the right and you’ll see the Sphere up in the top-right corner, among the leaves in the tree.
After you defeat Gigant Edge in the mini-boss fight, drop your ability (if you have one) and steal his Sword ability instead.
Then head to the right and you’ll see the Sphere next to a platform with a rope attached to it. Use your sword to cut the rope and you’ll be able to reach the Sphere.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe – Level 1-3 Energy Spheres
When you get to the bottom of the first underground section with all the cannons in it (where you can get the Spark ability), don’t enter the door at the bottom.
Drop down through the floor instead, and you’ll find the Sphere underneath you.
After you get the Beam power-up in one of the crystal cave sections, head right and you’ll see the Sphere underneath you, with a locked door in front of it.
Keep going right and you’ll see the key just sitting there. Pick it up and head back to the door to unlock it and get the Sphere.
In the following section after you get Sphere 2, head to the right and you’ll see an enemy holding a key at the bottom of the screen.
Run to the right so you can intercept the enemy when the two paths meet, and you’ll be able to kill it and take the key, which opens a door just to the right which contains the Sphere.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe – Level 1-4 Energy Spheres
Near the start of the stage, after you cross the tiny bridge with the fruit underneath it, keep walking straight when you get to the wall.
Instead of hitting the wall, you’ll walk through a secret tunnel where the first Sphere is located.
In the underground section, where you’re collecting the horns that provide shields above your head, you’ll eventually reach a ladder, a switch and the Sphere.
This is an easy one – hit the switch, deal with the large enemies on the platform, and drop down to collect the Sphere.
Spheres 3 and 4
When you get the Monster Flame power-up at the end of the stage, head to the right until you come to a massive tree stump with a path underneath it.
Use the Monster Flame to cut through the tree stump: this will make another star-shaped portal appear, which will eventually lead to another Sphere Doomer fight and the last two Spheres.
