As soon as you arrive in Koboh you’ll notice that there are plenty of areas that you aren’t able to access. Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a Metroidvania, meaning that you’re expected to revisit these areas in the future with a new set of power, which will then allow you to access them.

One of the main ways that the game stops you from going in certain areas is via the green gates that can be found around the game. You will be able to access them eventually, but not from the start of the game.

How to open green gates in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

In order to open green gates in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, you have to play the game until you reach Jedha, the sand planet in which you’re reunited with Cere Junda and Merrin.

You unlock the ability to travel through the green gates while you’re on the mission in the old Jedi temple with Merrin, during which you’re attacked by a large excavation drill that is attempting to destroy the temple to find a secret hidden within.

At the end of this mission, there will be a scripted sequence during which Merrin gives you the power to dash through green gates, using the same power that she displays in order to be able to pass through solid objects.
