Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s ‘A Home for the Holidays’ task has been causing problems for players who don’t know what they’re supposed to do.
The task is one of five special festive-themed duties which can be found in the Village section of the Dreamlight tab on the pause screen.
However, there’s no information provided with any of these duties, meaning it’s up to the player to figure out what to do.
Don’t worry though, because we’ve got the solution for you.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Home for the Holdays task solution
Like the other festive duties in Dreamlight Valley, A Home for the Holidays rewards you with a special item if you can complete it.
It’s worth doing, then, because the reward is much better than the Dreamlight you usually get for doing tasks like this.
As the name suggests, the solution involves your home – specifically, you have to decorate your home with five pieces of festive furniture.
The problem is, the game doesn’t clearly specify which furniture counts as festive. The easiest solution, then, is to craft five Holiday Feast Chairs.
These can be found in the crafting menu under Furniture, and each requires 5 x Hardwood and 3 x Fabric to make.
This means that in total you’ll need 25 Hardwood and 15 Fabric to solve the solution our way.
Once you’ve collected what you need, go to your crafting table and build five Holiday Feast Chairs.
Then you just need to sit them down randomly in your house (as you can see in the image at the top of this article) and the task will trigger as being complete.
When you go into your Dreamlight menu and collect your reward, you’ll be given the Winter Carpet. This is the only way to get this item.
