Crimson Desert — how to replenish your horse’s stamina

If your horse won’t run in Crimson Desert, you need to allow it to rest. If your trusty steed is moving slowly and is covered in bloody marks, that’s a telltale sign that it’s fatigued.

There are a couple of ways to solve this issue. You could get a new horse, but then you’d lose all the benefits you’ve built up bonding with your current stallion or mare.

The easiest solution is to take it to a stable to rest. There’s a stable just north of Hernand, slightly west of the abyss nexus. Don’t get it confused with a saddlery, which has an icon shaped like a saddle. The stable uses a horseshoe icon on the map, but it’ll appear as a question mark if you haven’t already visited before.

Another solution is food. There are certain food items that you can feed to your horse if it’s in proximity. Sugar cubes are one of the best. Simply hover over the item in your inventory and hold A/X before choosing “feed to horse” from the dropdown menu that appears.

Food doesn’t completely replenish your horse in a single bite so you’ll need a few sugar cubes to get it back to max health, where resting at a stable does it all at once but requires you to move across the map to physically visit the stable. Try to keep some sugar cubes on you to save on those detours.

You also get a stable at the Greymane Camp if you keep completing the faction quests and building your base up.
