Bared Fang — how to eavesdrop and find the secret organisation in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert is a great game, but it barely tells you how to play it. One place where that’s apparent is Bared Fang in Beighen, where you’re tasked with making contact with a secretive organisation.

How to eavesdrop

The first thing you have to do is eavesdrop on a couple of NPCs in a barn near the waterfront. What it doesn’t tell you is you have to stand in a specific spot to make it work. Head to the back of the hut and stand against the middle wooden pane, wiggle around and you’ll lean against the wall and listen in.

Blue Fangs answers

Next you have to talk to a guard by the main hall. Select the top question “The Truth of the Underground Storage” and he’ll tell you it’s a larder.

If you’re on Xbox press A (X on PlayStation) to call out the lie, and then choose “Secret Society’s Base”. Now choose the second option, get the extra information, then leave the conversation for now.

Here you’ll find two more NPCs chatting. You have to lean against the wall of the house where the log is laid on the floor. I moved the log with Nature’s Grasp and found it easier to trigger the eavesdrop.

Now head back to the Blue Fangs guard and choose “Mysterious Faction Within Beighen”, call out the lie, and then choose “Blue Fangs”.

Next, choose “Leader of the Blue Fangs” and you’ll get more information.

Leave the conversation and head to the new quest marker.

Two women are talking inside a building. On the south side, you can see them through a small hole in the wall. You can lean in the corner here up against the wall next to the wooden crates.

Head back to the Blue Fangs guard and choose “Leader of the Blue Fangs” again. Call out the lie and choose “Torstein”. You’ll be granted access to the underground base.
