Food is your best friend in Crimson Desert.

Flashy combos and combat skills can only get you so far, but food is what will carry you to the end credits. No one can defeat the guy who eats a 20-course meal in the middle of a fight. No one wants to defeat him. He’s a legend.

One thing that’s not entirely clear when you start experimenting with food is that you can improvise like in Breath of the Wild, throwing different ingredients into the pot to discover new meals.

Cook something new three times and it gets added to your repertoire, just like if you’d found or bought the recipe and learned it that way.

All you need to do is head to a cooking pot and press X on Xbox or Square on PlayStation and you can go mad scientist in the outdoor kitchen. Here’s a list of all the Crimson Desert recipes we’ve found so far.

I’ll list these as the standard version of each meal. Once you’ve unlocked it as a recipe, you can increase the amount of ingredients to change the potency of its healing effects.
