Chien Pao is one of four legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that are locked in shrines. Ting Lu’s location can be found at any time, but actually battling the Pokemon requires going on a small side quest to remove stakes around the map.
You’ve probably come across a few of these multi-colored stakes during your time with the game, with four different stake colours in all.
Each of them relates to a different legendary Pokemon you can battle, and we have guides on all of their locations, and maps showing where the stakes are.
