Team17

Team17 is a British video game developer and publisher founded in 1990 and based in England. The company was created when 17-Bit Software, a British publisher, and Team 7, a Swedish developer, merged.

Full Contact for the Amiga was the company’s first game. Due to its success, the company followed up with additional releases for the same platform, including Alien Breed, Project-X, and Superfrog.

In 1993, Team 17, alongside Electronic Arts, won the Golden Joysticks Award for Software House of the Year.

In 2016, Lloyds Development Capital invested £16.5 million into Team17 for a 33% stake in the company. Team 17 acquired Yippee Entertainment in 2020, StoryToys in 2021, and Astragon in 2022.
