Supercell is a mobile game development company based in Finland. The company was founded in 2010, with its debut game being Gunshine.net.
Supercell has fully released seven mobile games: Boom Beach, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Hay Day, Squad Busters, and mo.co. Its games are free-to-play and create profits through in-game microtransactions.
Tencent bought 81.4% of the company in 2016, valuing it at €8.4 billion.
Supercell has expanded with new studios opened in San Francisco, Seoul, Shanghai, and London, and in 2024 had revenues of $3 billion.
