The studio Games That Matter became part of Deep Silver in 2007 under the name Deep Silver Vienna, although it only produced one game, Cursed Mountain, before being shut down in 2010.

In 2013, Deep Silver acquired Volition as well as the rights to the Metro series. In the same year, Deep Silver announced its plan to expand into mobile games and bought into Infernum Productions, a free-to-play games developer based in Berlin.

Fishlabs, was then acquired by Deep Silver and became the company’s mobile game studio. It was then renamed as Deep Silver Fishlabs as it was an asset deal and was reorganized to become a division.
