Respawn Entertainment

Respawn Entertainment is an American game developer based in Beverly Hills, California, USA, and is a subsidiary of EA. It’s best known for developing the Titanfall series and Apex Legends.

The company was founded in 2010 by Jason West and Vince Zampella. Since 2017, it has been owned by Electronic Arts.

Respawn is known for Titanfall, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond.

Jason West and Vince Zampella previously worked for Activision before being forced to leave due to contract disputes. They acquired funding from EA through the EA Partners Program, in order to establish Respawn Entertainment and were joined by many employees from their previous studio.

There have been key changes in personnel after Jason West left the company in 2013 and Zampella died in 2025 following a car crash.
