Arrowhead Game Studios
Arrowhead Game Studios is a Swedish video game developer founded in 2008 by Johan Pilestedt and Emil Englund, along with other students at Luleå University of Technology.
Arrowhead’s first game to be developed was Magicka, which won the Swedish Game Awards, Game of the Year. In 2013, The Showdown Effect was published by Paradox, which was a multi-player action game, followed by Gauntlet in 2014, published by WB Games.
Sony then published a shooter game for the company with Hilldivers released in 2015, followed by the sequel, Helldivers 2, in 2024.
Johan Pilestedt became the chief creative director, focusing on game development alongside Shams Jorjani, the company’s CEO.
